As a result, many of our youths are confronted with challenges such as unnecessary competition among peers, being forced to participate in non-curricular activities and to attend tuition or supplementary classes, as well as high expectations and demands from parents and the education system. In the end they can hardly find adequate time for leisure, hobbies and personal development.
Such challenges have also silently given rise to some pressure, tension and anxiety among our youths. This in turn kills off the more desirable leadership quality, effective communication capability and creativity potential.
As the name suggests, Smart Reading is an effective reading technique helping our youths to read and learn faster and smarter. This in turn will help our youths to find balance between academic studies, non-curricular involvement, development of personal potential qualities and leisure.
The workshop is participative in nature. Power point presentation, group discussions, practical exercises and similar methods will be used. It will focus on three specific dimensions of Smart Reading, namely, understanding of basic concepts, knowing why it is essential for learning excellence and how our youths can learn and cultivate this reading habit.
